I have spent the last three months rehearsing, arranging and composing music as the musical director for Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre’s version of the Beggar’s Opera by John Gay. I created new arrangements of 28 airs, suitable for the theatre and for the production vision.

I had the pleasure recently of composing and arranging material for the traditional musical by John Gay “The Beggar’s Opera”. This is the rehearsal mp3 for “Man May Escape From Rope and Gun”, Air 28 in the opera. The bass part, normally sung by the actor, is here as a practice guide for him, to aide in learning pitches and rhythms.
